Tulsa Bitcoin Meetup Hosts Renowned Cryptographer Peter Todd on February 18
TULSA, OK - February 14, 2025 - The Tulsa Bitcoin Meetup & Oklahoma Bitcoin Association is thrilled to welcome renowned cryptographer and Bitcoin Core contributor Peter Todd for a special event on Tuesday, February 18, at 7:00 PM at Welltown Brewery in Tulsa, OK.

Peter Todd has been a key figure in Bitcoin's development, known for his deep cryptographic expertise and contributions to the Bitcoin Core protocol. Recently, he was the subject of an HBO documentary that speculatively named him as Satoshi Nakamoto, the anonymous creator of Bitcoin. Peter strongly denies this claim, and the Oklahoma Bitcoin Association stands by his denial, urging the public to approach such assertions with skepticism.

This event is free and open to the public, but advance reservations are required. Bitcoin beginners and veterans alike are welcome to attend and listen to one of the space's most respected figures.

This whiteboard-style workshop will cover CoinJoin privacy techniques, including PayJoin, JoinMarket, and Wasabi, with real-world examples. While no prior technical experience with Bitcoin is required, attendees should come prepared with a technical mindset for this interactive session.
