Kryptonite Announces New York Diamond Standard U-Lock, an Innovative Grinder-Resistant U-Lock
CANTON, Mass. - Feb 12, 2025 - Kryptonite Registered , an Allegion brand and a manufacturer of class-leading bicycle and powersport locks, and security solutions, announced the launch of its New York Diamond Standard U-Lock, an innovative, multi-layered, grinder-resistant U-Lock.
The 26mm diamond-coated double-layered steel shackle, which measures 204 mm x 95 mm inner dimensions and weighs five pounds, is manufactured with quality protective vinyl coating crossbar and a TPE covered shackle. At launch the Kryptonite Diamond Standard will come with a free five-year Anti-Theft Protection Offer.
"The New York Diamond Standard U-lock offers unique protection through its multi-layered shackle, which resists battery-powered grinder attacks," said Ron Faverty, US Brand Manager for Kryptonite. "This is certainly one of, if not the most exciting and innovative security updates from Kryptonite ever."
The included Flex Frame U-Bracket provides convenient multi-location U-lock transport on the bike. "We expect the lock to be very popular amongst professional delivery people, bike dealers with rental fleets, and owners of high-end e-bikes."
