How cool would it be to have a book on financial literacy written by a mother and two sons for other kids to learn about managing money? Very cool if you read Kidding Around With Cash by Marja Starcevic, David Constantin Negoita, and Denis Gabriel Negoita. If you are a parent looking to teach your young children about managing money, welcome to the DD Brothers Adventures. The narrative is enthusiastic, written as if Denis and David are speaking to you and your kids directly. Concepts are simplified in language easily understood by kids and made relevant to their audience. From the beginning, they tell us to "bring on the giggles, and let's start Kidding Around with Cash." Well-constructed and fun to read, it is a well-designed book with an engaging narrative.

The authors maintain the narrative in a simple and enjoyable tone. At the end of each chapter is an Activity Time which is a fun quiz about the chapter content. The topics cover a great deal of ground and include the history of money, needs and wants, assets and liabilities, income and expenses, earning money (including possible jobs for kids), savings, and budgeting. Also included are worksheets for simplified balance sheets, income statements, budgets, and others. The story moves energetically and engagingly, asking questions leading to answers in a fun way.
