Swastika reshared a post from Rakshita Singh, who runs the Dular Amaanat Foundation in Delhi. In her post, Singh detailed her distressing experience while trying to transport her sick puppy to the vet. She booked an Uber pet taxi, only to be charged Rs 487 for a 5-kilometer ride. In contrast, a regular Uber cab for the same distance costs just Rs 150.

Singh recounted that when the driver arrived, he questioned her about the contents of the cozy baskets she placed in the back seat. Upon learning they contained puppies, he insisted she exit the cab immediately, stating it was only meant for human passengers. Despite explaining that one puppy needed urgent medical attention, the driver dismissed her concerns, saying it was not his problem.

Feeling shocked and disappointed by the lack of compassion, Singh later attempted to book a pet taxi through Uber but found the fare exorbitant. In her post, she asked Uber for more information about their pet taxi services, including space and amenities for animals during rides.

Swastika Mukherjee echoed Singh's sentiments, questioning Uber's commitment to pet-friendly services. She urged fellow pet owners to share their experiences and called for improvements in how pets are treated during transportation.

The incident has divided opinions on social media. While some users shared similar negative experiences with Uber's pet services, others pointed out that dedicated pet-friendly options exist.
