Optimised stability and new functions: abylonsoft releases major update 2025

Seibersbach, January 2025 - The software company abylonsoft presents the major update 2025 and brings numerous improvements in performance, stability and user-friendliness for its software products. The focus was particularly on optimisations that significantly increase the reliability and speed of the applications. One highlight of the update is the introduction of the new abylon SCREENSAFER - an innovative slideshow screensaver.

* New screen saver abylon SCREENSAFER

With the abylon SCREENSAFER (https://www.abylonsoft.com/screensaver/), users can present their own pictures in a personalised slideshow. The free version offers functions such as a real random generator for the order of the pictures as well as the possibility to save the progress in case of interruptions and to continue later at the same point. The paid version extends the functionality with attractive image transitions and a favourites mode that displays certain images preferentially.

The update also includes a number of optimisations for existing products:

- Ease of use: The operation of abylon SCREENSAFER on systems with multiple screens has been improved, and access to the Windows screen saver settings is now directly integrated.
- System integrations: For the abylon APP-BLOCKER, the system restore point can again be created directly from the app.
- Context menu extensions: In abylon BASIC and abylon ENTERPRISE, users are specifically asked for file operations such as copying, encrypting or shredding whether they should be executed with or without admin rights.
Increased performance: The random number generator in various products, including abylon CRYPTDRIVE and abylon ENTERPRISE, has been optimised and now works significantly faster.
- Stability during long-term use: The map monitoring in abylon LOGON Business, abylon LOGON and abylon ENTERPRISE now works reliably in different user contexts and also with several logged-in users.

- Reliability: Problems in the logon mask have been fixed, and a new auto-restart feature ensures stable operation over long periods of time.
- Extended registry options: Various functions such as timeout values or logon behaviour can be precisely controlled via new registry settings.
- Bug fixes: Various problems, including those relating to the processing of large file volumes and file operations, have been resolved.
