Software solutions for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 readiness

Winzero Technologies, a leading provider of enterprise IT management software, released RemoveUnknown, the first software solution of its kind to clean up Microsoft Windows Servers by removing unknown accounts found in security permissions.

Winzero RemoveUnknown is the first solution of its kind that allows IT Professionals to clean up Windows servers by removing unknown accounts found in file, folder and share permissions (ACLs). The continual change in users and groups in the enterprise necessitates a need to identify and remove unused accounts left behind and present in server security permissions to avoid unauthorized access that can turn malicious.

RemoveUnknown centrally audits, reports and deletes unknown accounts providing a single click solution for the IT professional to generate reports of all unknown accounts present in security permissions and the ability to delete those unknown SIDs as needed.

"Winzero surveyed Windows server administrators to find solutions that they REALLY need and want. It was clear that in-depth reporting and removing unknown accounts from Windows server security permissions was a major requirement for three major reasons: administration, security, and migration to Windows Server 2008. Winzero RemoveUnknown addresses these three areas in a remarkable way!" said Akos Sandor, Vice President Microsoft Enterprise Solutions for Winzero.

“Over the years, we have developed an extensive array of software that supports Microsoft products,” said JP Hann, Director of Marketing at Winzero. “The ability to expand our product base and develop software solutions to remove the obstacles to deploy Windows Server 2008 is a huge benefit to our customers by providing the expertise to automate most server tasks, especially the mind-numbing repetitive ones...”

Winzero RemoveUnknown is available for evaluation at http://www.winzero.ca and may be purchased directly or through the Winzero global resellers’ network.
