Tommy Cash Takes Us For A Walk Down Memory Lane, Cash Style

Tommy Cash grew up on a small cotton farm in Dyess, Arkansas. The youngest of seven children, Tommy remembers a home filled with love, and with music. Working long hours in those cotton fields became a way of life. The children always sang spirituals to pass those hours. Older brother Johnny took a great liking to the music of that generation.

After graduating high school, Johnny enlisted in the Air Force. Tommy enlisted in the Armed Forces just after graduation. In 1954, Johnny decided to follow his dream of becoming an entertainer. In 1965, Tommy followed in his footsteps. Two brothers followed their dreams of sharing music with the world. Who could have known just what a mark the Cash name would make in music history.

Tommy soon had his first big hit, “Six White Horses.” He loved entertaining. Other hits followed…”Rise and Shine”…”One Song Away” … ”That Certain One”…”Gypsy Woman”…”The Cowboy and the Lady.” Tommy took his rightful place in the country music world. Tommy continued recording and touring for some forty odd years.

Then in 2003, we lost Johnny Cash. His loss was felt worldwide. Tommy had lost not only a brother, but a true mentor in music, and in life. For nearly a year Tommy got letters and emails from fans, who expressed such a profound yearning to again hear the music that had shaped so many of their lives. It was then Tommy made the decision to restructure his show, and give those fans what they so desperately yearned for. “A Tribute to My Brother, Johnny Cash” was born.

Tommy Cash, and his band, The Cash Crew, deliver one of the most powerful tribute shows in popular music today. They have taken the show from continent to continent. They perform some 25 songs and medleys, made famous by the Man in Black, along with heartfelt stories that only Tommy could tell.

This family oriented show is winning critical acclaim from coast to coast. Tommy is being asked for repeat performances in many cities. This show gives the audience a glimpse in to the life on the Cash family, and a trip down memory lane. It is an incredible stage show, complete with video that captures some of the charisma that is Johnny Cash. Tommy is grateful for this opportunity to pay tribute to his brother, and to share those memories with the fans. This show will only get bigger and better in 2008!
