MHRA to advise on mHealth app initiative for pharmacovigilance
WEB-RADR Project Lead Phil Tregunno joins speaker lineup for the 9th Social Media in the Pharmaceutical Industry in LondonSMi has confirmed that Phil Tregunno, the MHRA’s Signal Management Unit Manager and WEB-RADR Project Lead, will be speaking at the 9th Social Media in the Pharmaceutical Industry conference. The event takes place on the 18th and 19th of January 2017 in London.
More companies continue to improve initiatives for pharmacovigilance. Recently, the MHRA ran a social media campaign to report suspected side effects for medicines. In line with this, they have partnered with a consortium of world-leading experts from industry, regulatory agencies, and academia to lead the WEB-RADR project.
WEB-RADR is an initiative that seeks to utilise social media and emerging technologies for pharmacovigilance purposes. Phil’s presentation at the conference will give an overview of the project, highlighting updates on the apps they are developing to detect and to report adverse drug reactions as well as ethical guidance and appropriate use.
Phil joins a speaker line-up of senior healthcare marketers and brand managers who will lead presentations and workshops that will provide insights on digital health and social media topics such as social listening, creating web content, digital analytics, patient advocacy, mobile apps, plus much more.
