02-25-2008 05:35 PM CET | IT, New Media & Software

Press release from: G2G3

G2G3, the leading provider of communication and gaming solutions, has today announced an exciting new venture with itSMF UK, the premier community for leadership in IT Service Management in the UK.

itSMF UK have agreed to use the Polestar IT Service Management (ITSM) simulation from G2G3 in order to run a number of high profile simulation awareness raising events for its members at various locations across the UK. Participating in these high-impact events will practically demonstrate to itSMF members how application of IT Service Management best practice frameworks such as the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) can genuinely benefit the effective delivery of IT services and will help to drive members towards simulations in general following on from demonstrations by G2G3 and others at their conference in November.

Polestar ITSM is a highly interactive and energetic simulation which brings to life the challenges of implementing service management best practice such as ITIL V3 in the context of a realistic and exhilarating scenario. This unique experiential learning approach accelerates understanding of service management best practice to large audiences and transforms learning into an immersive, fun and highly memorable shared experience.

itSMF is the only truly independent and internationally recognized forum for IT Service Management professionals worldwide. This not-for-profit organization is a prominent player in the on-going development and promotion of IT Service Management "best practice", standards and qualifications and has been since 1991.

Mark Ross Sutherland, CEO at G2G3 said “We are delighted to be providing this ITIL simulation service to itSMF with the shared goal of providing contextual awareness of how best practices such as ITIL can significantly improve IT services”.

Keith Aldis, CEO if itSMF said “We are very excited to be offering the opportunity for our members to see how simulations can not only save them money but also appreciate that the use of simulations have proven to be an excellent way to deliver the ITIL message in an interactive environment. We aim to give our members the opportunity to see and participate so they can make a reasoned business decision on future use without a high cost of entry.”
