Acclaimed married country music duo Cliff & Susan are starting the new year with a bang, unveiling their highly anticipated new single, "Spitfire," available across all streaming platforms and radio on January 17, 2025.

An electrifying anthem celebrating fearless, unstoppable women, "Spitfire" draws inspiration from Susan Prowse herself. Written by Cliff Prowse, the track delivers a bold blend of energy and authenticity that fans have come to expect from the dynamic pair.

"Spitfire' started as an idea I had for the line 'fiddle and steel your heart away," says Cliff. "I thought, 'How can I make that work in a song? So I came up with a riff, some chords and started writing. I realized I had the perfect inspiration, my wife, to make the song work. She's a 'Spifire' just came right out along with some other lines like 'A stone cold stunner in black fringe boots,' which is her signature boots she wears all the time. It was a lot of fun to write and even more fun to perform!"

Produced and arranged at the duo's Big Red Dog Productions studio, the track showcases Cliff's multi-instrumental talent on lead vocals, guitar, fiddle, drums, and bass guitar, with additional contributions from Dane Bryant on B3 organ, Terry Martin on pedal steel, and Susan on background vocals. The result is a high-energy, fiddle-driven track that captures the spirit of bold, independent women everywhere.

"Spitfire" marks the first release of the year for Cliff & Susan and sets an exciting tone for what's ahead. The duo has also partnered with 613 Media out of Fort Worth, TX, to produce an accompanying music video, slated to premiere shortly after the single's release.
