San Francisco, CA - January 13, 2025 - The countdown to history has begun. A launch date has been set for the NASA-sponsored robotic lunar mission that will carry LunARC's Lunar Community Art Gallery to the surface of the Moon! The launch is scheduled for 1:11 AM ET (6:11 AM GMT) on Wednesday, January 15.
Launched in partnership with LifeShip, LunARC's historic art gallery will feature tens of thousands of submissions from over 40 countries, constituting a groundbreaking testament to inclusion and creativity.

The gallery showcases artwork from individuals historically excluded from frontiers, now celebrated as pioneers in humanity's next great leap. This is more than art-it's an invitation for people everywhere to see themselves as part of the space conversation and to step boldly into this shared future.

"This mission is a literal moonshot, placing those historically excluded from space exploration at the forefront as pioneers," said Topher Wilkins, co-founder of LunARC. "By sending their visions to the Moon, we're making 'Space for All' a reality, inspiring those who contributed-and countless others like them-to believe in their agency to shape humanity's future in space."

A Milestone in Space Exploration
The Lunar Community Art Gallery is a pivotal step in LunARC's visionary journey to create the Lunar University-the first permanent learning institution on another celestial body. Designed as a global hub for collaboration, the Lunar University will unify diverse initiatives, foster innovation, and inspire solutions for challenges both on Earth and in space.
This launch, made possible through LunARC's partnership with LifeShip, builds on the nonprofit's mission to empower voices that have been sidelined, giving them a central role in shaping the narrative of space exploration. By collaborating with nonprofits worldwide, LunARC has ensured that the journey to the Moon represents the diversity of humanity and the potential for collective creativity.
