The correct way to use rubber hoses - Do's and Don'ts

In order to provide you with a longer service life of the hoses we supply, proper storage, maintenance and cleaning are very important. If not, used and maintained properly, most rubber hoses will change their physical properties. For example, due to excessive hardening, softening, deformation, swelling, cracking other surface damage, all of which will shorten their service life and even make them unusable.

Storage Chapter:

1. During storage of rubber hoses, especially during long-term storage, the physical properties of the hoses may change when exposed to certain factors, which result in the hoses no longer having good usage performance. Protective measures should be taken for the hoses during storage, and the first-in-first-out principle should be followed

2. The storage area must be dry, cool, dust-free, climatically neutral and have moderate humidity and good ventilation; direct sunlight and high artificial light sources with UV components must be avoided;

3. The storage temperature should be between 0 and 35, preferably around 15. During storage, the temperature not exceed 50 or fall below -30;

4. Please do not store in contact with materials harmful to the product, especially certain acids, oils, solvents, etc.

5. The product should not be stored near a heat source for a long time, as it will cause the rubber to age and reduce the lifespan the hose;

6. Electromagnetic fields should not be allowed near the storage area, as changes or fluctuations in these fields can induce currents in the metal and heating.

7. Do not subject the product to excessive pressure, avoid contact with sharp, pointed, or corrosive objects, and store it in a suspended as much as possible;

Coiled hoses should be stored flat. When stacking is unavoidable, the height of the stack should be limited to the extent that the bottom product does become excessively deformed. A protective cap should be inserted into the open end of the hose to prevent internal contamination.

Usage:

Before use, make sure to check if there are any abnormalities in the appearance of the hose. If any abnormalities are found, immediately isolate it and with relevant technical personnel.

1. When using the rubber hose, the working pressure and working temperature specified for the product must not be exceeded. Exceeding the pressure or will reduce the service life of the rubber hose and may even cause the hose to burst, leading to safety accidents;

2. The medium being conveyed must be chemically compatible with the product; otherwise, it will cause corrosion of the hose and reduce the service life the hose;

3. Do not use the rubber hose in a bent condition beyond its allowable bending radius, nor twist or bend it forcefully; to ensure the normal of the fitting, the distance between the bent part and the fitting must be greater than twice the outer diameter of the rubber hose;

Please do not drag over sharp or highly abrasive surfaces, nor kink or flatten.
