The RegTech Joins the UN Expert Group on e-Government

Dubai, UAE / December 26, 2024 / - The RegTech is proud to announce its participation in a distinguished United Nations expert group discussion on e-government, organized by the UN Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD) and supported by UN DESA. This milestone recognition of The RegTech's expertise positions the organization as one of only two private sector representatives invited to address the past and future of digital governance.

Representing The RegTech at this important gathering will be Managing Director Igor Ujhazi, who expressed his enthusiasm:

"I'm thrilled to share that I will be representing The RegTech at an expert group discussion organized by the United Nations CSTD, supported by UN DESA. This is such an incredible opportunity to work alongside global leaders-governments, academia, and civil society-to tackle some of the biggest challenges in e-government and digital governance. My main focus will be on matters like building trust in digital systems, ensuring equitable access to services, and creating frameworks that truly work for everyone."

Informing Global E-Government Policy

This expert group discussion will contribute to the UN's 20-year review of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), an influential report that will evaluate global progress and establish future priorities for a people-centered, inclusive, and development-oriented information society. The RegTech will address challenges such as advancing digital governance frameworks, promoting equitable access to digital services and Building trust in e-government systems.

Mr. Ujhazi added: "What's even more exciting is that this session will help shape the UN's 20-year review of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), charting a course for a more inclusive, connected future. I'm especially passionate about amplifying the voices of developing regions in these conversations because, let's face it, their perspectives are often overlooked-and they're absolutely critical to creating meaningful solutions."

The RegTech is dedicated to fostering global inclusion by amplifying voices from developing regions and collaborating with regional organizations to ensure that their unique challenges are reflected in policy recommendations. Through connecting diverse stakeholders, The RegTech aims to drive cohesive and inclusive approaches to digital governance.

The expert group discussion, scheduled for January 16, 2024, represents a significant opportunity for The RegTech to contribute to shaping global strategies that promote transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in digital systems.
