AP Government Invites ISB To establish Second Campus in Tirupati

Hyderabad, India, February 20, 2008: In a unique endeavor top notch leaders representing various businesses and the different sections of the community in Hyderabad converged at the Indian School of Business (ISB) campus to join the felicitation ceremony initiated by TiE Hyderabad to congratulate ISB for achieving the Global Top-20 Business School ranking by the Financial Times.

Speaking at the felicitation function the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, while appreciating the Indian School of Business for its remarkable journey to attain the Top 20 Global Business School distinction, invited ISB management team to set up the second ISB campus in Tirupati and offered to provide full government support and the required infrastructure facilities.

The former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri. Chandrababu Naidu also attended the felicitation function at the ISB Campus. In his speech he expressed his confidence that the prestigious school will soon reach the top 5 global business school position.

It was a remarkable evening as the who’s who of Hyderabad congregated at the ISB Campus to offer a standing ovation to this remarkable young business school established in Hyderabad 6 years ago. “This is a truly fantastic day. A packed auditorium full of people like this needs no comment, and I don't think there has ever been a greater demonstration of affection and warmth for ISB than this to celebrate this incredible world recognition, this prestigious institution has received.” Mr. J A Chowdary, President of TiE, Hyderabad, said.

The attendees at the felicitation event included the well known industrialists such as G V Prasad, CEO, Dr. Reddy’ Labs, Ramalinga Raju, Chairman, Satyam Computer Services, Syam Prasad of Indu Project, Srini Raju of iLabs and Dr. Prasanth Raj Sinha, founder Dean of Indian School of business. There were also many distinguished personalities from the city representing various sections of the society and the industry.

The Indian School of Business (ISB) has been listed as one among the top 20 global B-schools by the Financial Times annual MBA 2008 rankings. The achievement is particularly notable, as the ISB is the first B -school from India, to have found a place in the FT’s B-school league table.
