BIEA Elevates Youth Voices in STEM Education and Sustainability on Global Platforms
The British International Education Association (BIEA) continues to lead the way in empowering young people through STEM education and sustainability initiatives. With a focus on showcasing student achievements and advocating for a balanced approach to innovation, BIEA has had a remarkable presence at key global events in recent months.*Representing Youth at the World Internet Conference*
BIEA proudly attended the World Internet Conference in Wuzhen, China, a premier gathering of tech experts and innovators. Dr David Lamper, Chairman of BIEA, participated as a panellist, shedding light on the importance of balancing technological innovation with mental health and wellbeing, particularly for young people.
"Technology offers incredible opportunities, but it must also be a force for good in supporting mental health and resilience among the next generation," Dr Lamper said, reiterating BIEA's commitment to a holistic approach to education.
At the conference, BIEA also highlighted the groundbreaking work of young people using STEM to address global challenges, from sustainability to conservation.
*A Celebration of Conservation at the London New Year's Day Parade*
BIEA is thrilled to announce its participation in the upcoming London New Year's Day Parade 2025, a globally broadcast event that draws millions of viewers. This year, BIEA will feature inspiring student-led projects in animal conservation, representing young changemakers from across the world.
Finalists from the 2024 BIEA STEM Competition will showcase creative solutions to protecting endangered species, brought to life through vibrant performances by art and drama students from a Westminster school. This unique collaboration celebrates young people's ingenuity and passion for sustainability.
*Launch of the 2025 STEM Competition - Feast Forward*
Looking ahead, BIEA has officially launched its 2025 International STEM Competition, themed "Feast Forward". The competition challenges young minds to develop innovative solutions to one of humanity's greatest challenges: feeding a growing global population while minimising environmental impact.
The competition builds on BIEA's mission to equip young people with the skills, confidence, and creativity to tackle real-world problems, focusing on areas such as sustainable agriculture, food security, biodiversity, and climate change.
*Empowering the Next Generation*
From global stages to local classrooms, BIEA remains committed to amplifying youth voices, fostering sustainability, and inspiring the leaders of tomorrow. By creating opportunities for young people to engage with STEM and make a difference, BIEA is driving meaningful change for a sustainable future.
