Secretary of State of the German Federal Ministry of Health visits Orthopaedic Technology Centre in Dubai
(Dubai, Berlin - 18 February 2008) - During his visit to Dubai for the Arab Health Congress on 28 - 31 January 2008, Secretary of State of the German Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Klaus Theo Schröder, had the opportunity to visit the UAE-based company, German Limbtech, in Dubai Healthcare City.One of the key areas of interest and discussion was the procedure and set up of German private healthcare companies in the metropolitan city of Dubai. The directors of German Limbtech; Andreas Buchold and Michael Müllenheim discussed with Dr Klaus Schröder, their development of German healthcare business plans that work successfully alongside the local UAE government state systems.
During his tour of the German Limbtech facilities, The Dr Klaus Schroeder noted the high quality and standards of the German Limbtech Centre that provides prosthetic and orthotic devices to many individuals in Dubai and throughout the UAE.
Prior to his visit to German Limbtech, Dr Klaus Schröder also met with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Prime Minister and Vice-President and Ruler of Dubai, at the Arab Health Congress. In this meeting both parties discussed the co-operation in Health sector services between Germany and the United Arab Emirates, further enhancing the established relations between the two countries.
With the establishment of new UAE-based centres such as German Limbtech providing German standards of care and services here in Dubai, UAE residents should no longer need to go abroad in their search for high quality treatment.

German Limbtech is a Specialist Orthopaedic Technology Centre based in Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai, UAE. The centre was established in 2007 by two German parent companies Gebauer GmbH and Müllenheim GmbH.
Speciality services at the Centre include manufacture of custom made Prosthetics (artificial limbs), Orthotics (Support body bracing), Orthopaedic Footwear (for adults and children), Spinal Bracing, and Manual/Electric wheelchairs with special seating.
German Limbtech will be participating in Rehab Dubai 2008 on 10-12 March 2008 at the Dubai International Exhibition Center. Stand 200-201.
