President of the E-Somali Sports Federation, Said Abdullahi Mohamud, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "This collaboration with Accord University is a testament to our commitment to developing a robust E-Sports ecosystem in Somalia. We are dedicated to supporting the Accord E-Sports Club with all necessary resources, including registration with the Federation, comprehensive training programs, and access to essential equipment."
Secretary-General Abdilahi Abdirashid Mohamed emphasized the multifaceted benefits of E-Sports, highlighting its potential as both a rewarding hobby and a lucrative career path. "E-Sports offers a unique platform for young people to develop valuable skills such as teamwork, strategic thinking, and problem-solving," he explained. "We are excited to provide opportunities for aspiring E-Sports athletes to showcase their talents on both national and international stages, representing their institution and their country with pride."
Vice-Chancellor of Accord University, Prof. Abdulkadir B. Mohamed, welcomed the initiative, emphasizing the university's commitment to fostering holistic student development. "We believe that E-Sports, alongside traditional sports and academic pursuits, plays a crucial role in enriching the lives of our students," he stated. "By integrating E-Sports and Chess into our extracurricular activities, we aim to provide a well-rounded and engaging experience for all members of our community."
