The iconic London hotel is about to unveil a refreshed restaurant offering and start a programme of room refurbishments for a new era ahead. The exclusive auction will take place on December 11 and 12, 2024, offering an elegant selection of furniture and fittings that have graced the hotel's renowned suites, guest bedrooms, and public spaces.
With a rich history of hosting royalty, celebrities, and cultural icons, The Savoy is set to open its doors to enthusiasts eager to acquire a tangible piece of its legacy. Leading the sale are treasures from the Personality Suites, named after some of the most notable figures to have stayed at the hotel, alongside hundreds of bespoke furnishings from The Savoy's 267 luxury rooms and suites.
With the most recent major renovation at the hotel having completed in 2010 (the three year project cost some 220 million), The Savoy has now confirmed a new stage of refurbishment of rooms and suites, "as part of a continued commitment to invest in the property and to ensure the best experience for guests". The first new rooms and suites will be revealed in August 2025.
Highlights include handcrafted luxury pieces such as: bespoke mirrors, sofas, and silk drapery from the hotel's opulent suite, unique art pieces that echo The Savoy's heritage and sophisticated tables, chairs, and lighting fixtures from its public spaces and guest bedrooms.
Each item embodies the prestige, history, and impeccable craftsmanship synonymous with The Savoy name.
