It is divided into three categories based on the location of the problem: aortic arch, ascending aortic, and descending thoracic aneurysms. Non-infectious aortitis, inherited syndromes, atherosclerosis, and infections cause most TAAs. TEVAR prevents rupture of an aneurysm and replaces it with a synthetic or thoracic stent graft through small incisions in the groin.
