Johannes Schäfer GmbH from Haiger designs and manufactures customized hydraulic power units that can be adapted to both individual and series production. The company thus offers customized drive solutions for industry.

The individual power unit can have a total weight of 20 tons. And this is also reflected in the drive power. Up to 250 kW can be put into operation by the specialist from Hesse, but higher drive powers are also possible.

The customer is always taken by the hand during the development process of their hydraulic power unit. The design geometry is therefore coordinated using 3D CAD. The manufacturing process begins after approval by the customer.

The power units can be equipped with a constant, adjustable or variable-speed pump drive system. Depending on the application, the advantages of a system outweigh the investment and operating costs, which is then optimally parameterized and implemented in the pump unit.

The hydraulic units are equipped with electric controls. And, of course, the documentation complies with current standards and directives.

A special feature of Johannes Schäfer GmbH is the possibility of component labeling and marking, also according to customer specifications. In combination with digital spare parts management, the customer has the advantage of being able to order the right spare parts immediately from the specialist in Haiger in the event of a breakdown.

"Of course, our hydraulic units are installed by our specialists at the customer's premises. We also carry out maintenance and overhauls!" reports Alexander Cordes, Account Manager at Schäfer. "We generate most of our business from our existing customers. That speaks for our high and consistent quality," Cordes continues.

The flexibility is also evident in the piping designs. All common types, from cutting ring to flared, FS form to welded connections, everything is possible. And the additional advantage for the customer: All designs are optimized for energy efficiency in accordance with DIN EN ISO 4413 and VDMA 24580.
