WEROCK and FLECS announce partnership for flexible automation solutions

WEROCK Technologies GmbH, an innovative manufacturer of industrial IT solutions, announces a new partnership with FLECS, a Linux-based open marketplace for automation solutions. The aim of the cooperation is to offer flexible and manufacturer-independent solutions for industrial manufacturing, machine and plant engineering.

FLECS offers companies an innovative approach to implementing automation solutions by enabling the installation, management and configuration of apps via a user-friendly web interface. This simplifies the entire process and does not require in-depth technical knowledge. The FLECS Marketplace supports both open-source and closed-source products. This means that companies are no longer tied to a single vendor for software and hardware, giving them greater independence and flexibility. The ability to use different solutions from different providers makes it easier to adapt or update systems to meet specific requirements. It is also possible to provide and manage your own solutions via the platform.

The cooperation makes it easier to change or update systems, as companies can gradually replace outdated components without having to make extensive new investments. The FLECS marketplace for industrial automation enables cost and time savings by providing access to proven apps and eliminating the need for in-house development. Ready-made solutions can reduce the time-to-market by up to two years. The software can be used flexibly. This provides access to advanced solutions even for smaller companies.

Compared to other Linux-based app stores, FLECS offers a targeted focus on automation solutions and industrial applications. The products in the Marketplace are adapted to the needs of production plants. The seamless integration of automation solutions via a central web interface reduces the configuration effort in complex industrial environments.

The Panel PCs from WEROCK are currently available in two compatible hardware series. The Rocksmart RSC600 series, with its slim design and IP65-protected front, is suitable for use in control cabinets and machines. This series is available in six display sizes from 10 to 22 inches and offers a wide range of configuration options. The Rocksmart RSD1000 series offers a fully enclosed stainless steel housing with IP69k protection, designed for high hygienic requirements. Available from a display size of 15" to 32", with many configuration options. Both series offer seamless integration of automation requirements through compatibility with FLECS, allowing flexible adaptation to individual production requirements.
