Plagiarism checker PlagAware introduces collusion checks to prevent unauhtorized team work

In October 2016, the award winning system PlagAware for plagiarism checks of documents (https://www.plagaware.com) introduces new functionality for collusion checking. The term "collusion" is used if multiple authors work together to create and turn in slightly different versions of a common text without indicating the team work. The new functionality addresses users from schools and universities with the requirement to quickly and efficiently detect unauthorized team works in sets of documents.

Within the collusion check, all texts of a set are compared on a per-word bases. All matches are highlighted and their relation is displayed in a graphical overview. The check is scheduled automatically as soon as new documents are turned in or added to the set. This way, the corrector can focus on the text contents while PlagAware assures that documents are created autonomously.

The collusion check and text comparison functionalities are offered free-of-charge after free registration at PlagAware. For plagiarism checks against electronically available sources in the Internet, fees are charged based on the number and length of checked text documents.
