TrueConf presents a futuristic box for holographic conferencing in partnership with IAORA
While traditional video conferencing is gradually giving way to advanced methods of collaboration, immersive technologies are used in the field of communication allowing for a sense of presence during interaction. Hence industry analysts forecast a 7,8% growth in the telepresence system market (https://finance.yahoo.com/news/global-telepresence-videoconferencing-market-likely-144000707.html) by 2033, which means that corporate communication and global business are set for revolutionary changes.
At GITEX GLOBAL 2024, TrueConf unveiled the complex for immersive video conferencing in partnership with IAORA, one of the top hologram companies in Dubai. The developers used TrueConf video conferencing technologies and the IAORA 4K UltraHD screen with reflecting elements that allowed creating a transparency effect of the box, enhancing a three-dimensional projection of a person.
The operation principle has not changed. A remote user simply needs good lighting, a chroma key, and a 4K camera connected to a PC running TrueConf application which is used to transmit the video stream to the screen of the 2-meter-high box. One may use both a specialized camera or a mobile phone camera that supports 4K UltraHD. TrueConf Server, an on-premises UC platform, is used as a connecting core among meeting participants, the box, and a remote speaker whose projection is displayed.
The effect of a live presence is achieved due to a new design - a 4K transparent screen is located on the back wall of the device, and it is equipped with special illuminated and mirrored elements inside.
TrueConf holographic technology is aimed at creating the effect of a live presence and goes beyond the boundaries of the usual video conferencing during business negotiations, product demonstrations, virtual performances, forums, and other events. The solution can be used for interactive online meetings, including presentations, remote customer service, creation of virtual exhibition halls, as well as for applications in the field of telemedicine, video banking, and other areas.
