Inside Higher Ed reports intensified pressure on admissions to increase enrollments in a recent survey of college and university Admissions Directors as enrollment continues to decline- primarily in the community college sector. The continuous decline includes a wide array of reasons, but high on the list of areas to improve upon is the ease and personalization of the application process for prospective students. This was the focus of discussion at the NACAC annual meeting last year (source Coalition for Access, Affordability and Success).

Improving the student experience from the first interaction, with a level of personalization that meets the needs of individual students, is critical to increasing enrollment. Although there is controversy over the success of the Coalition’s efforts, one key component still remains a catalyst- make the process easier, user-friendly, and individualized for prospective students to engage with their school of choice.
