Balance the scales in special education

Balance the scales in special education

Is your district or school frequently involved in special education litigation that impacts staff morale?
Do you find that settlement agreements resulting in out-of-district placements, 1:1 aides, etc. are often not in the best interest of students?
Does your district or school give in to parent demands too easily even if inconsistent with FAPE and LRE requirements?
Is your district or school experiencing financial difficulties due to increased attorney’s fees and other costs resulting from frequent litigation?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions and want to take steps to decrease litigation and limit your district or school’s liability, then this live webinar is for you. In this webinar, you will learn about the common mistakes that Special Education Directors and Child Study Teams make that result in frequent, ongoing disputes with parents and increased special education litigation costs. Experienced attorneys and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) will expand on these mistakes and discuss some ineffective legal tactics that are often used that can compound the problems and the costs. The use of applied behavior analysis (ABA) runs throughout the fabric of this presentation as best practices in special education.
