Enduro combines a proprietary solid lube formula with a penetrating black oxide treatment to provide exceptional wear resistance and worry-free performance in all conditions, from North Shore, Canada wet to Girona, Spain dry.

After three years of development and rigorous testing in the harshest conditions, MAX Solid Lube, Black Oxide treated pivot bearings represent a significant leap forward in suspension bearing technology. They feature a unique lubricant-infused foam polymer injection-molded into the bearing assembly, replacing traditional grease or oils typically found inside a bearing. The solid lube polymer fills the entire cavity of the bearing, leaving almost no room for contaminants or moisture to penetrate and create friction. To further enhance dependability and provide maximum protection from the elements, additional features include double-lip LLU full contact seals and a tough, surface-penetrating Black Oxide/Magnetite bearing race treatment to increase corrosion resistance and material normalization.

First used in military ground equipment during the Desert Storm War, most solid lube bearings only perform well in dry, dusty climates. Enduro's proprietary, all-conditions MAX Solid Lube solution is comprised of two essential parts: a continuous microporous polymer and a proprietary lubricant containing special additives. When MAX Solid Lube engages with the moving balls, the lubricant is transferred from millions of pores to the ball and race surfaces. As the bearing moves, temperature and pressure introduce a uniform and continuous lubrication film between all metal parts to minimize friction and extend bearing life. When bearing movement stops, capillary action returns the lubricant to the polymer's micropores where it is stored for future bearing movements.

Twenty-plus years ago, Enduro Bearings pioneered MAX suspension pivot bearings to address chronic, premature suspension bearing failures. The MAX-type bearing design provides 35%-40% more load capacity compared to standard radial bearings and is the industry standard used by hundreds of bike manufacturers. These full-complement bearings maximize the number of balls inserted into the bearing through a custom ground slot in the races. The additional balls, combined with deep bearing race grooves, provide much greater lateral support for the twisting and multi-directional forces associated with full-suspension mountain bike pivots.
