Over 6000 people die each day because of suicide. Someone takes their own life every 13 seconds. The leading cause of suicide is depression. And alarmingly 1 out of 3 people suffers from depression. You’ve probably seen these stats before. But now as you are reminded of this grim state of affairs, there is a solution.

Let’s Rise Above the Talk

Rise Above the Talk is a campaign designed to build a trusted community of wellness for all people. This community has a name: My Wellness Door. My Wellness Door aims to be the largest, trusted source of mental, physical and spiritual health information, programs, services and products nestled in a shared social setting where people can discuss their feelings, thoughts and experiences. Tina Colizza, a wellness life coach and business woman champions the campaign while enlisting schools, universities and colleges, corporations, medical experts and wellness service providers to help make My Wellness Door a reality. “I want My Wellness Door to be free for all people, and I want most of the content to be free as well. It’s important that this community be as accessible and affordable as possible so that we can help as many people as we can.” says Tina Colizza.

In order to show people that anything is possible if you take action against your limiting self-destructing beliefs, they are going after Hollywood celebrities who have suffered from mental health issues to become part of My Wellness Door. “We are not famous and these celebrities do not know who we are (yet)”, says Colizza. “ We cannot afford to pay these celebrities for endorsements, so we are simply going to ask them to join. We know that it might take time, but in the end, if they do join, we will be sending a message to a lot people that anything is possible – that we are not limited by our present circumstances. If you want something bad enough you have to fight for it. The extent of their influence will be far reaching – like huge ripples that build a strong current sweeping down the mightiest walls of suffering behind which many of us hide.”

“We decided that we needed a challenging goal that we could share with all people so that they could witness first hand that you can achieve anything you set your mind to – regardless of your past and present experiences. Our one focused goal right now is to get Oprah Winfrey, Lady Gaga, Jim Carey, Howie Mandel and Demo Lovato to become members of My Wellness Door. These celebrities were chosen because of the extent of their influence to change the world for the better and because they all share challenges with mental health. We will be sharing our daily activities, our challenges and our successes toward this one goal on My Wellness Door, our Facebook page and in our Rise Above the Talk blog and podcast. “

Once they get at least 3 celebrities to join My Wellness Door, they say they will launch one of the largest crowd funding projects ever on Indiegogo. Their pre-launch page will be live on September 26, 2016 and you are invited to check it out and to let as many people know that My Wellness Door project is coming soon. Once My Wellness Door project is launched on Indiegogo and proven successful, they will start building My Wellness Door according to all the feedback and input they received and collected.
