"The Nonpareil almond variety, in particular, has no equal," Rebecca explained. "It's our premium product, and we often reserve it for raw consumption because of its smooth, blonde skin and delicate, sweet flavor. The Carmel variety, on the other hand, has a nuttier, amaretto-like taste and is perfect for roasting and making almond butter."

A Legacy of Family and Farming

In May 2022, tragedy struck when Tom Dafoe passed away in a sudden airplane accident. Rebecca, faced with the loss of her husband and business partner, made the difficult decision to continue running the farm, honoring Tom's dream and keeping the legacy alive.

"Tom poured his heart and soul into this farm," Rebecca said. "After his passing, I knew I had to keep it going-not just for him, but for our children and grandchildren. Briden Wilson Farm is more than just a place that grows almonds. It's a piece of our family's history, and I'm determined to keep it that way for generations to come."
