European Commission Updates Regulations for Titanium Dioxide in Cosmetics
The European Commission published these new regulations on July 13, 2016 in Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/1143, amending Annex VI of Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009. The change in regulation follows opinions SCCS/1516/13 and SCCS/1539/14, from the Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS).
Cosmetic and personal care product manufacturers should now check their compliance with these changes.
