Richtek Unveils Ultra-Small Power Management IC RT5716 for Compact Battery-Powered Devices

Richtek Technology, a global leader in analog IC design, announces the launch of its latest innovation, the RT5716, a low-voltage synchronous buck converter designed for compact, battery-powered applications. Housed in an ultra-small 1.04x0.69mm² WCSP package, the RT5716 significantly reduces the total solution circuit size to just 4.65mm², making it ideal for space-constrained designs.

The RT5716 stands out not only for its compact footprint but also for its superior performance. Supporting the input voltage range from 1.8V to 5.5V, it is perfectly suited for battery-powered devices. The RT5716 offers two load current options 0.6A and 1A and supports switching frequencies up to 4MHz. It also features 16 selectable output voltage levels to cater to different design requirements. Incorporating Richtek's patented COT topology, the RT5716 delivers enhanced load transient response, ensuring exceptional stability with an output voltage variation of less than 93mV during rapid load changes.
