Chemanol Awards McDermott Methanol Plant Expansion Project

Chemanol is excited to announce the launch of its latest project for the expansion of its Methanol plant, which aims to improve and expand the unit by employing innovative technologies and sustainable practices. This initiative represents a major step forward in increasing the energy efficiency of the asset while expanding its capacity and ultimately bringing value to the company's shareholders.

The Company has entered into an agreement with McDermott to perform services related to the engineering, procurement and construction of the project. Ali Abdulaziz Alturki, Chairman of the Board of Chemanol, said: "We are thrilled to work on this important project with McDermott which not only contributes to Chemanol's sustainability and growth plans but also paves the way for more long-term strategic collaborations with McDermott." The project is expected to be completed in Q4 2027.

"Following decades of experience executing large scale, complex projects in the Middle East, are excited to leverage our global engineering centers and proven track record to provide Chemanol with a comprehensive, tailored solution for this critical plant expansion within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."
