Kepley BioSystems Selected as a Hello Tomorrow Challenge Finalist

Competing with 70 other extraordinary startup companies from around the world, Kepley BioSystems was named as a top finalist in the Hello Tomorrow Challenge. Originally, 3,500 companies from 105 countries had entered the competition, and recently the field was narrowed to 500 semi-finalists. Now, just 70 companies that have been invited to make presentations at the Hello Tomorrow Global Summit on October 13 and 14 in Paris, France, where they will select respective category and grand prize winners.

The Hello Tomorrow Challenge is the premier event for showcasing and celebrating new science and technology enterprises with exciting and often global commercialization potential. Ten Challenge categories are being sponsored by leading multinational industry leaders, including L’Oreal, Sycomore Asset Management, Roche, Airbus and many others. Carrefour is a pre-eminent global food conglomerate with over 300,000 employees – and the sponsor of the Food and Agriculture category in which Kepley BioSystems is competing, with gratitude for their commitment, as well.

Former New York City Mayor and media executive, Michael Bloomberg will keynote the Summit, headlining an impressive list of notable speakers spanning an international array of public and private sector entities. Sharing the podium to present OrganoBaitTM will be Dr. Anthony Dillinger, President of Kepley BioSystems, to describe both the urgent need and the innovation to address it to the Summit judges. He will also be meeting investors and interested corporations in both formal and informal sessions, including a special celebration after the awards.

Hello Tomorrow is a non-profit organization formed in 2011 with a commitment to advance innovation and foster social benefits from competitive enterprises. It aims to bridge the gap between science, entrepreneurs, investors and corporations, gathering more than 15,000 innovators within the Hello Tomorrow network. Over $72 million dollars of investment capital have been raised by Hello Tomorrow finalists since its inception.

Kepley BioSystems originated at the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering (JSNN), North Carolina A&T State University and The University of North Carolina at Greensboro; the company is now located at the Gateway University Research Park proximal to JSNN. Kepley BioSystems is an academically-driven company led by Professor Christopher Kepley and Dr. Anthony Dellinger, a recent graduate, working in collaboration with lead inventor Terry E. Brady, located on the Caribbean island of Anguilla, British West Indies.
