What inspired you to write The Healing Moment: 7 Paths that Turn Messes into Miracles of Love?

As a child, I felt a connection to a spiritual source. But, as life became increasingly and overwhelmingly painful, I replaced that source of comfort with addiction.

My life was difficult and although I was able to achieve a great deal of success, I was always left searching for something I couldn't find. In my journey of recovery, I searched the world over, studied many religions, and learned from many so-called spiritual masters. But I couldn't fully break my patterns. I finally hit bottom.

One night in a moment of desperation, a miracle happened.

I realized that it wasn't people or God that didn't love me, I didn't love myself. Thus, began the beginning of a new journey of learning what love was and how to apply it to my life. This also brought me back to the same connection I'd felt since the age of five - the one right inside of me.

What is one message you would like readers to remember?

My deepest desire is that we as humans, find our way back to our birthright of happiness and joy.
