Jumping Bytes releases Mobile Master 6.1

The new version of this cell phone tool has a shortcuts area that provides easy access to all functions, full support for data synchronization with Mozilla Thunderbird and numerous new cell phone models

_Munich (Germany), October 20, 2005 – Jumping Bytes, the specialists for cell phone management and SMS communication today announced the release of Mobile Master 6.1. Synchronization with Thunderbird has been completely reengineered and enhanced to include a Thunderbird Extension (Addin): Using two new buttons in the Thunderbird address book and a separate menu item, all contact data can be synchronized directly from Thunderbird or marked individual contacts can be transferred to the cell phone.
The software has been completely redesigned and adapted to the Office 2003 look. In the new, steel-blue shortcuts area, all major actions are clearly arranged by topic and directly accessible. Using the right mouse button, the user can customize the selection of actions. Open Source fans will also find what they’re looking for: Master Mobile has added the office package OpenOffice as a new export format.

Mobile Master 6.1 now also supports the new cell phone models: K750i, W800i, K600i, V600i, K300i from Sony Ericsson and M75, C75, CX75 from Siemens. A calendar synchronization function with the Samsung D500 and E720 has also been added. Prior to the actual synchronization, a data comparison uses colored highlights to display old, modified, and new data, making corrections possible. Filters and automatic routines can be defined for future actions, e.g. that the cell phone address book is automatically synchronized with Outlook whenever it is in range of the PC. Once a connection has been established, the desired data can not only be compared to the Outlook contact database, but also to Thunderbird, Lotus Notes, Palm Desktop, and numerous other programs.

“In this version, we have placed greater emphasis on quality control, in addition to developing new functions, and we will also continue to pursue this course in future versions,” says Christoph Güntner, Chief Developer at Jumping Bytes. “The test cycles are longer, but our customers are more satisfied.”

Mobile Master 6.1 (approx. 10 MB) can be downloaded at http://mobile-master.com/down.htm. The 30-day test version is a full version with one limitation: it can load a maximum of 20 phone book entries from PC to cell phone.
Mobile Master can be purchased online in light (€ 9.90), standard (€ 17.90) or professional versions (€ 25.90). ABOUT MOBILE MASTER:
Mobile Master from Jumping Bytes is a software for cell phone management and SMS communication. The goal is to transmit contact (phone/address book), scheduling and task data from cell phone to PC and vice versa. The uniqueness of Mobile Master is, on the one hand, the cross-platform support of numerous cell phone models, and on the other hand, the integration to the most common email clients or contact management programs. Data transfer between old and new cell phones, also irrespective of manufacturer and across platforms, is no problem with the function “Copy Station”. In addition to the exhaustive integration to different PC applications, transferred data can be exported in Word or Excel or as a text file with separators.
With the optional program SMS Servant, SMS (text messages) can be received, composed, and sent like emails in Outlook. SMS Servant is included with the Mobile Master installation, but is subject to a separate licensing fee.
