Since its inception in 2014, Adelante Community Development has been instrumental in nurturing the economic growth of Colorado's Latino community. The organization champions entrepreneurship as a crucial pathway for economic empowerment, providing culturally relevant services that significantly enhance business success.
The AceleraTuNegocio program is a comprehensive 17-class series that arms participants with vital skills in digital marketing, financial management, and business compliance. "This program not only aids in launching innovative and professional businesses but also ensures that these entrepreneurs are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of the U.S. economic landscape," said Maria Gonzalez, Founder & CEO.
Latinas are 6 times more likely to open a business and this year's cohort showcases 60 adult Spanish speaker entrepreneurs, 72% Latina women and 28% Latino men, primarily from the food and beverage, construction, and personal services industries. The average age of participants is 38, reflecting the dynamic and potent potential within Colorado's Latino business community.
The program concludes with a pitch competition that demonstrates the participants' readiness to enter and thrive in a competitive market. This event is a testament to their hard work and the program's efficacy in preparing them for business challenges.
