Pavement News Association Announces 2023 Excellence in Chip Seal Pavement Award Winner Columbia Chipseal
This is the 6th time since 2001 that Columbia Chipseal has been recognized for their outstanding work. The Excellence in Pavements Awards Program is an annual event held during the Pavement Association's 40th annual meeting. This year's event was held in Austin, TX and saw the participation of 25 judges who volunteered their time to evaluate the submissions.
After careful consideration, Columbia Chipseal was chosen as the winner for their exceptional work in the chip seal paving industry. Chip seal paving is a cost-effective and durable method of pavement construction that involves spraying a layer of liquid asphalt on the road surface, followed by a layer of small aggregate.
This creates a strong and waterproof surface that can withstand heavy traffic and harsh weather conditions.
