Press release from: Laboratory Testing Inc.

HATFIELD, PA, September 13, 2016 – Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI), a metals testing and calibration company, will be exhibiting in booth #712 at the Titanium USA 2016 trade show in Scottsdale, Arizona. LTI performs a wide range of chemistry, metallography, mechanical testing and nondestructive testing services that are performed on all types of ferrous and nonferrous metals, alloys, composites and powdered metals. The Lab will highlight its titanium testing services during the Exposition which will run from September 25th through 28th at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Golf Resort.

Laboratory Testing Inc. can perform testing to required specifications on all types of Titanium and Ti Alloy compositions. Material structure, composition and mechanical properties are evaluated by various test methods to determine whether the material will perform as expected in real-life applications. Some of the tests commonly performed for the titanium industry include ICP analysis, alpha case evaluation, and microhardness, tensile, creep, stress rupture and fracture mechanics testing. Products are also inspected nondestructively to verify the absence of cracks, voids, laps, seams and other indications or inconsistencies, including high speed inspection of tubing, pipe and round barstock using immersion ultrasonic testing systems.

“As a full-service, independent testing laboratory, LTI is fully capable of meeting the material testing needs and quality requirements of material suppliers and manufacturers in the titanium industry”, said Mike Hiller, Director of New Business Development. LTI is NADCAP accredited in materials and nondestructive testing and also accredited by A2LA in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 for materials testing and calibration. The Laboratory has Pratt & Whitney MCL F23 and GE S-400 & S-1000 approvals, and has been audited and approved by primes, supply chain manufacturers and material suppliers. Testing services are performed to industry standards including AMS, ASME, ASTM, NAS and MIL.

Now in its 32nd year, Titanium USA 2016, is expecting 90 exhibitors and delegates from more than 20 countries to be in attendance at this year’s conference and exhibition. While the titanium supply chain has seen a tremendous growth in scope and complexity over the past decade, attendance at Titanium events, hosted by ITA, has also increased significantly. The ITA was established in 1984 as the International Titanium Association and currently has over 1,600 members worldwide. The event offers networking opportunities for titanium producers, OEM’s, distributors, fabricators and vendors to exchange ideas and showcase their capabilities.
