Ed Michalski, CEO of PRO Engineering / Manufacturing Inc., Rides in "Best Dam Bike Tour" for the 19th Year to Raise Money for Multiple Sclerosis
Milwaukee, WI - Aug 19, 2024 - PRO Engineering / Manufacturing Inc. is proud to announce that Ed Michalski, CEO, will once again be participating in the "Best Dam Bike Tour" for the 19th consecutive year. The event, organized by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, is set to take place in Aug 2024, with cyclists from across the nation riding to raise funds and awareness for Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
The "Best Dam Bike Tour" is a renowned cycling event that offers participants a scenic route through Wisconsin's beautiful landscapes. Riders can choose between various route lengths, accommodating all skill levels, from casual cyclists to seasoned athletes. The funds raised during the event go directly towards research, advocacy, and support services for those affected by MS, a chronic disease that affects the central nervous system.
When asked how he got started on this journey, Ed shared, "Twenty years ago, my older son rode in the event as my niece has MS. I was at the finish line for him, and I thought, 'Why am I not doing this? I can do it!' So, the next year I signed up and started fundraising. With my contacts, it was not too hard to collect reasonable funds from $5,000 to $10,000. This spring, I also did the MS ride in Tampa."
"Since I started riding for MS, my pool of people with MS has grown to include clients, children of friends, and many more. My riding top is signed by a few of these people I am supporting,"
Ed continued. "In 2015, I rode the Ride to Awareness for national mental health. That ride was from San Diego, California, to Saint Augustine, Florida. We did events across the country, and seven of us raised over $100,000!"
