Zoo Sioux is an English Desert Rock band formed in Pimlico, London, in 2022. The band members include David Christie (guitarist, composer, lyricist, vocalist, arranger, producer, engineer, and visual designer), Cake O Nomura (swamp-bass syncopationist), Papillion Soo Soo (drummer, percussionist), and Zak Orth (acid counterpoint guitarist and second vocalist). They specialize in Desert Rock, kink-rock, and twist-rock, genres defined by their interesting rhythms and unique soundscapes.
With over a decade of individual musical experience and two years of collaboration, the band draws inspiration from a variety of sources, including late 20th-century artists like Ry Cooder and Captain Beefheart & Magic Band, as well as Country Blues and Post-Punk.
