Indeema and Microchip Technology Inc. Unveil Groundbreaking Connectivity Framework for IoT Devices
Wilmington, DE - [June 10, 2024] - Indeema, a leading software solutions provider, is pleased to announce its strategic collaboration with Microchip Technology Inc., a top provider of smart, connected, and secure embedded control solutions.This partnership aims to elevate secure connectivity by implementing Microchip's Connectivity Framework (MCF), which represents one of the industry's first application-layer stacks for universal secure connectivity.
MCF is a set of software libraries and tools designed to establish a universal messaging system. This innovative framework enables secure and uninterrupted end-to-end encrypted protocol for internet-based communication among IoT peripherals. All while operating within the application layer and on top of existing communication channels.
Indeema Software will play a pivotal role in assisting stakeholders adopt and implement this new technology. With expertise in cloud infrastructure setup, firmware, and middleware development, Indeema is uniquely positioned to meet development requirements on both the cloud and embedded ends of the protocol, ensuring a secure and transparent connectivity solution.
The MCF boasts an array of features and benefits that set it apart in the field of secure connectivity. On the device end, it supports 8-, 16-, and 32-bit architectures and is characterized by minimal memory requirements and a small footprint. From a global communication perspective, it's a small web application that works together with a standard MQTT to extend MCF networking capabilities through the cloud. The integration of cloud instances and on-device implementation creates a unique framework that adheres to rigorous security standards.
As a partner, Indeema is responsible for ensuring that the MCF's underlying components work seamlessly together in a cloud environment, allowing for easy and secure client onboarding and maximizing the value of MCF technology.
The Indeema team containerizes and deploys the backend code, configures VM instances with the required scalability, designs network architecture for communication between compute resources, including VMs and containers, and provides ongoing support for the distributed application with components hosted in the cloud of choice. Furthermore, Indeema can assist in establishing an equivalent on-premise infrastructure that uses local servers and containers and supports operation across multiple deployment models.
