MR Solutions accelerates sales of its preclinical multi-modality, high field, cryogen free scanners
MR Solutions continues to grow sales of its cryogen free, pre-clinical range of scanners including its PET-MR and high field MR systems. These include sales of its large bore cryogen free 7T MR systems to the University of Sydney, the Academic Medical Centre (AMC) in Amsterdam, and the USC-Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute in California which incorporate the MR Solutions PET insert for simultaneous imaging. As well as these multi- modality systems MR has recently delivered regular bore 7T MRI systems to research centres in Russia and China.
A 4.7T system was recently acquired by USC, San Diego with the IBS Centre for Nanomedicine in Korea acquiring the newest 3T cryogen free MR.
Since its first installation in 2012, MR Solutions has rapidly become the world leader and reference for cryogen free high field superconducting MR.
MR Solutions will be displaying their latest combined PET-MRI multi-modality imaging systems for preclinical research at the ninth annual 2016 World Molecular Imaging Congress (WMIC) in New York, from 7 to 10 September, 2016.
MR Solutions is the only manufacturer to offer both a complete range of cryogen free MRI systems (3T, 4.7T, 7T and 9.4T) and offer simultaneous or sequential PET and SPECT in combination with these scanners.
Dr David Taylor, physicist and CEO of MR Solutions said, “We believe that our cryogen free and multi-modality developments have completely disrupted the high field preclinical market place. We have spent millions of dollars in developing these technologies which we believe has opened up a large capability gap, between ourselves and our competitors.”
For simultaneous PET and MRI imaging, MR Solutions’ PET module is inserted within the bore of the MRI system. The multi-modality imaging scanner combines MRI for the exquisite structural and functional characterisation of tissue with the extreme sensitivity of PET imaging for metabolism and tracking of uniquely labelled cell types or cell receptors. This is particularly useful in oncology, cardiology, and neurology research. Superior imaging resolution results may be the best on the market at
MR SOLUTIONS is an independent world leader in MRI technology, developer and manufacturer of the world’s first range of commercial, superconducting, cryogen-free (dry magnet), preclinical benchtop MRI systems. MRS accessorizes its preclinical MRI scanners with PET and SPECT modules for both sequential and simultaneous acquisition of MR data.
