Sawyer County Business Owners to Receive Free Business Coaching
Sawyer County and the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa had combined resources to form the Sawyer County/LCO Economic Development Corporation (SCLCOEDC). While the name is long and complicated the most recent collaboration is short and sweet.
Combining Resources
Starting in July 2024, the Sawyer County / LCO Economic Development Corporation will be providing free business coaching to all entrepreneurs and business owners in Sawyer County. This includes any businesses that are already established or are looking for expert guidance to help grow and scale. Another segment that is welcome to the services includes the aspiring entrepreneur. This may include conducting market research, business planning, and guidance in structuring and writing of the business plan or help in doing the financial projections.

Meet Your Business Coach
The SCLCOEDC had partnered with local entrepreneur and award-winning marketer, Curtis DeCora of Superior Marketing. DeCora brings a half-century of experience to the table, and those experiences include helping start over 200 businesses in the state of Wisconsin alone with the Wisconsin DWD - Division of Vocational Rehabilitation self-employment pilot project. This project included the formation, development, and growth of home-based businesses, service-based businesses, and professional services to retail brick-and-mortar businesses. In addition to helping start small businesses from scratch, DeCora has also trained over 100 sales professionals using his Potent Prospecting method which was published in book form in 2018.
