Fusion Art's "Waterscapes" International Online Juried Art Exhibition Opened September 1, 2016

Palm Springs, CA, USA -- Fusion Art (http://www.fusionartps.com) is pleased to announce the opening of its September 2016 International Online Juried Art Exhibition, "Waterscapes." The exhibition is now available for viewing on the Fusion Art website.

The "Waterscapes" exhibition opened on September 1st and featured awards in two categories: Traditional Art and Digital Art & Photography.

For this competition artists and photographers worldwide were encouraged to share their artistic vision and interpretation of "Waterscapes." The theme included any art or photography which depicted any type of body of water including the ocean, lakes, rivers, ponds, streams, etc. The artwork could range from realism to surrealism to abstraction and all artists and photographers, regardless of location or experience, were encouraged to submit.

The "Waterscapes" Best in Show winners are Brian LaSaga for his acrylic on wood panel, "Beachwood Snag" and Annie Tsai for her photograph, "Man and Ocean."

Both Brian and Annie are Fusion Art's Featured Artists for the month of September 2016 and, as the Best in Show winners, both artists are also invited to participate in Fusion Art's Annual Group Show in Palm Springs, CA, in November 2017.

Other "Waterscapes" award winners include Second Place winners, Hunter Jay for his acrylic on canvas, "Tranquility" and Stephen Baumbach for his photograph on plexiglass, "Foam Fly #4." Third Place awards were given to Susan Allen for her oil on canvas, "Fripp Island" and Peter Shepherd for his photograph, "Solar Blast." The remaining finalists in the exhibition all exemplify uniquely creative talents and Fusion Art is once again honored to showcase their artwork on the website.

The international competition was held from July 8th through August 27th and received a diverse collection of quality artwork from artists all around the world. The exhibition will be featured on the Fusion Art website until September 30, 2016.

Founded by Award winning artist, Chris Hoffman, Fusion Art, a fine art gallery located in Palm Springs, California, was envisioned and formed out of a passion for art and the artists who create it.
