The Maman Dion Foundation, Founded By Celine Dion's Mother, Chooses Children's Book Author, Dr Nicole, As One Of Top 10 Quebec Women

Multi-award winning Canadian children’s book author Dr. Nicole has been chosen as one of Quebec's Top 10 Women by the Maman Dion Foundation to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Foundation. The Maman Dion Foundation is an educational foundation that provides support to underprivileged children in the form of clothing, eyewear and school supplies. The founder of the organization is Thérèse Tanguay-Dion, known as Maman Dion, a television personality and the mother of Céline Dion.

In the traditions of Walt Disney and Dr. Seuss, Dr. Nicole breathes life into inanimate objects and wildly entertaining characters that engage children in powerful ways. Through parent/child interaction, her works develop a love for reading while helping children develop the most important skill of all - critical thinking. If a child can master the art of critical thinking, nearly everything else falls into place. Sadly, critical thinking is not always taught to young children.

An event celebration the 10th Anniversary will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at the main event pavilion complex of Baie de Beauport. Dr. Nicole will also be in attendance at the 2016 Literary Classics Annual Book Awards Event to be held on the weekend of October 15, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
