Sengi IT launches crowdfunding campaign on indiegogo.com

Cloud users are looking for a quick and easy way to take back control of their digital identity. And now they have a chance to make it happen – with SENGI. Coming soon, SENGI is an all-in-one software solution for cloud services and messaging apps that redefines data security. On August 22, Sengi IT launched an indiegogo.com ( https://igg.me/at/0RmoHeurZkE/x ) crowdfunding campaign that will enable it to fund an additional developer so that it can implement new features and publish a beta version before the end of the year.

Halle (Saale), Germany, August 22, 2016 (wukicom): SENGI is an open-source solution that revolutionizes cloud storage by splitting user data into countless fragments and distributing them across all the cloud services the user is registered with. This renders the data fragments worthless to would-be data thieves and snoops. It also creates a system of redundant storage that safeguards users in the event of data loss or individual cloud service outages. Whatever happens, SENGI users can always reassemble their data on any device (iOS, Android and Windows) that has the SENGI app installed.

SENGI is not a cloud platform. It’s an integrated software that adds security to existing cloud structures and gives users back total control of their data. And it does this by aggregating the user’s various cloud storage drives into one simple, easy-to-use storage interface. The basic version of SENGI – which comprises all SENGI security features – will be available to users free of charge, while premium features like data indexing and personalization will be available from as little as €4.99 per month.

“The key to keeping our users' data secure is independence,” commented Sengi IT CEO Franz Weisbrich. “Our current crowdfunding campaign on indiegogo.com will help ensure we never have to make any compromises,” he added “If over the next few weeks we achieve our initial target of $35,000 to fund an extra developer, this will enable us to bring SENGI to market sooner and with an even greater range of functions. And if we manage to generate as much as $70,000 or even more, we’ll also be able to develop a Linux version so that we can provide protection for all the main operating systems.”

Anyone who donates $35 or more to Sengi IT on indiegogo.com is eligible to preview the closed beta version of SENGI and even participate in the software’s development. Various other benefits await supporters, depending on their level of financial engagement. These range from discounted premium accounts to custom versions of SENGI.

“It’s absolutely vital that we grow our community. We can achieve so much more if we collaborate with our supporters,” Weisbrich explained. “That’s why we also welcome non-financial engagement. The community can help us stop Big Brother – by providing constructive feedback, for example, or by spreading the word about our crowdfunding campaign.”
