Mercaton Peacekeeper Fund reached the targeted 20 million Euros worth of private investments

The Polish-based Fund will now apply for KOFFI Program in collaboration with the PFR agency.

In just a few months after initiation, the Mercaton Peacekeeper Fund ensured the desired level of commitment. The total amount will be equaled by the Polish state after filling in the application.
Five private companies from Poland covered the needs of the "Peacekeeper Fund" which seeks to support businesses that are in special situations or with under-evaluated potential applying dual-use technologies aligned with national security priorities. These priorities include technological development in areas such as healthcare and biotech, mobile solar panels, rescue drones, hi-tech computer vision able to recognize different types of dangers, or VR solutions
"There is a big market potential, a significant gap between the needs and the projects developed in Central and Eastern Europe," said Tomasz Nietubyć, the architect of the Mercaton Peacekeeper Fund. "Our team of experts has a solid reputation and their knowledge ensures strong investment returns", explained Nietubyć. More than that, he added, "the investors' satisfaction is rooted in the social development we achieve".
The Russian war against Ukraine changed the landscape of security in the CEE regions of Europe and communities have an increased need for safety, capabilities of the industries to offer or support aid in case of need as well as having access to the latest technologies to respond to any demands.
"Moreover, the Peacekeeping Fund is aligned with socially responsible investing principles, allowing our shareholders to contribute positively to society while achieving financial returns.
By contributing in a diverse number of sectors, investors can achieve significant financial gains, and benefit from market diversification and long-term stability".
"Additionally, having such a rapid positive response from investors, for our Mercaton Peacemaker Sub-Fund that will be part of the Mercaton SICAV based in Liechtenstein, we raised our target fund size to 100 million Euros", explained Michał Pawlik, cofounder of the Peacekeeper Fund.
"We will contribute to creating and keeping an international safety belt for populations recovering in areas damaged by conflicts. We already diversified our areas of interest to achieve this goal. Adding to technology and innovation, we focused as well on other categories of investments such as new food technologies, energy storage solutions, advanced manufacturing solutions for rapid rebuilding, sustainability, and essential services like water and food security and distribution solutions" explained Tomasz Nietubyć, initiator of Mercaton SICAV.
The Mercaton Peacekeeper Fund has already received a significant number of requests for investing and will be operational starting this year.

Mercaton SSF focuses on attractive risk-adjusted returns, investing in assets that are (often massively) undervalued as a result of financial stress.

The fund is expected to deliver x3-x4 returns on capital and a high ROI based on the fund price.
