The solution

The solution developed by Damian uses the connection between his Tesla and his iPhone. As soon as the iPhone connects to the Tesla via Bluetooth, the Shortcuts app on the iPhone activates an automated process. This app captures the current location and sends the data to Power Automate, where it is stored in a SharePoint list or Excel spreadsheet.

"It's a simple but very effective method," explains Damian. "My Tesla automatically connects to my iPhone, and the Shortcuts app sends the information, such as location and time, to a flow in Power Automate. This flow processes the data and saves it in a table. As a result, the logbook is kept automatically."
