He first began gaining notoriety as a writer after the success of "Open Mic Night: Campus Programs That Champion College Student Voice and Engagement". He was awarded an "Outstanding Book Award" from the AERA for my contributions to the collaborative book. In 2018, he published his first of two acclaimed chapbooks "Is It Wonderful.
