NoSpamProxy integrates Sectigo into automatic certificate management

Paderborn (Germany), May 29th, 2024 - Customers of the award-winning e-mail security solution can now also use Sectigo certificates in the fully automated certificate management. Integration is particularly interesting for users of the Deutsches Forschungsnetz (DFN).

Net at Work GmbH, the manufacturer of NoSpamProxy, the world's first email security software solution BSZ-certified by the German Federal Office for Information Security (Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik, short BSI), announces that version 15.1 of the product also supports the certificate provider Sectigo. Sectigo is one of the largest providers worldwide, with over one billion digital certificates issued and over 700,000 customers.

By integrating the products, NoSpamProxy customers can now obtain certificates from Sectigo for email encryption directly via NoSpamProxy's central certificate management system. This is done automatically and entirely transparently for users in the background so that IT administrators do not have to spend any time managing certificates for email signing and encryption.

Sectigo offers S-MIME certificates for secure e-mail encryption and the entire range of certificates-from SSL certificates to certificates for signing code or documents, eIDAS certificates, and certificates from a private PKI. In addition, Sectigo offers a well-established solution for certificate lifecycle management, with which all certificates throughout the enterprise can be managed efficiently.

Deutsches Forschungsnetz (DFN) as a multiplier

The integration of NoSpamProxy and Sectigo is particularly interesting in the context of the Deutsches Forschungsnetz (German research network). Now that the DFN Organization has replaced its internal DFN PKI solution "Global" with the Sectigo-based service TCS, many DFN users, such as research institutions, universities, and university hospitals, are switching to Sectigo as their certificate provider. The switch is effortless for NoSpamProxy users because the solution supports both services.

With their exceptionally high security requirements, many science and research institutions have relied on NoSpamProxy and thus on security "Made in Germany" for many years. The worldwide unique certification by the BSI has further accelerated this trend. "With the connection of Sectigo to our automatic certificate management in NoSpamProxy, we not only offer our customers easy access to the certificates of this renowned manufacturer. The connection to Sectigo is now available with version 15.1 of NoSpamProxy in the on-premises version.
