San Antonio Business Helps Rally Behind City’s Greener Tomorrow

This spring, the City of San Antonio launched its landmark SA Tomorrow initiative. The goal of SA Tomorrow – to help San Antonio reach smart, sustainable city growth by 2040 – has found resonance with local business Hill Horticulture, championing ways for San Antonians to save green by being green.

“One thing we’ve done to help local residents be greener and save money is offered EasyTurf as an alternative to a natural grass landscape,” explains local business owner Marc Moreno, of Hill Horticulture.

“We have customers who come to us with the intention to be environmentally friendly or save money on their water bill. We looked into alternative methods and decided to start offering EasyTurf, a high-quality artificial grass brand. There’s no maintenance, no water bills, no pollution from mowers, or grass clippings. It’s very eco-friendly for our clients who want to make a difference.”

San Antonio city planners based SA Tomorrow on five themes – Air Quality, Economic Vitality, Equity, Resilience, and Water Resources. CPS Energy and San Antonio Water Systems are some of the other local businesses joining Hill in providing ways for San Antonians to live greener with their own cost-saving rebates for customers who make energy saving upgrades.
